Island
Madagascar has become familiar with many
people who love the series of Madagascar, the famous film of Dream Works. And of
course, this is one of the most special islands on
the earth. Located on Indian Ocean, Madagascar is dubbed as a subcontinent with
a diverse ecosystem. More astounding, with 90% of the fauna and flora of
Madagascar are endemic and cannot be found anywhere else.
One of the most prominent species in the archipelago
that is baobab tree whose shape is similar to a carrot with luxuriant foliage
and its height can reach up to 24 meters. Besides, there are thousands of
species of plants and other famous species such as lemurs, rare orchids ...
However, with a particular ecosystem like that, conservation and prevention
them from degradation and extinction are the big problems
for the authorities here. The pressure of political instability and
poverty has led to poaching of wildlife and illegal logging taking place on a

Easter
Island
Easter Island is an isolated island located in
Chile to the South Pacific. The reason that the island is named
"Easter" is it was discovered by the Dutch
captain - Roggeveen on Easter day in 1722. Easter Island is famous not
only by the pristine natural beauty but also by its mysterious stories related
to the Moai statues and Rongorongo language that has not been
deciphered.
The residents living on Easter Island have
created their own writing system - Rongorongo, which is different from the
writing systems in the world. Until now, linguists have not been able to
decrypt it. One more surprising thing is that most of the inhabitants of the
other islands in the Pacific Ocean are even illiterate, and the Indian people cannot write.
On the island, there are about 900 giant statues, known as "moai", including paintings
which are 10 meters high and weigh 82 tons, carved from volcanic rock. Now,
there is no exact answer for the question that who had built these unique
statues.
