 Day 2&3:Explore the ancient city Bagan which is mystical and peaceful. (Continuing)
The first activity of the day is hunt the sunrise and photograph from a high angle in the temple Buledi. To have a nice angle, you should go from 4:30 am. These temples thousands of mystery are made of laterite which is steep and slippery. You use the torch lighting and climb slowly up the ladder, go up to the position near the top of the temple. 6 o’clock, the sun rises, radiates the first light, creates red, orange and yellow colors and dissipates the fog. When you finished the main meal, server will serve the dessert: tea leaf pickle, julienne mango, roasted sesame beans. Eating these three things together will create the strange taste.
Finishing your lunch, you go the horse wagon to visit the most famous temple in the area where any visitors traveling to Bagan must visit is Ananda stone temple. This is one of the largest temples and the best preserved one in Bagan, it was built in 1105, had architecture of cross, at 4 sides of the cube is the wooden Buddha statue 6 meters high. Visiting Ananda temple at noon, you will not be surprised to see countless local people as well as tourists sleeping, because of no fan but all areas of the temple welcome cool winds blowing into.
In the cool afternoon, you visit the temple Dhammayangyi from the 12th century with the pyramidal block type. This is the temple bringing the traumatic past as the name - "The bad luck temple". Long ago, King Narathu ordered to kill the slaves who cannot arrange the bricks to build a durable and close temple that people cannot insert a needle in the middle.
The last activity in the day in Bagan will be more wonderful when you watch the sunset in the most beautiful place in Bagan - Shwesandaw temple, also called the "sunset temple". According to legend, this place was built in 1057 to preserve one of eight hairs of the Buddha Sakyamuni brought from India. In 30 minutes, Bagan landscape gradually changes when the red sun slowly lowers from the sky, dyes thousands of towers with violet and cedes the air for dark. At this point, you leave Bagan and take the night bus to go to the ancient capital Mandalay.
